Dear Desert International Horse Park community,
We received the results of three tests from the CDFA that were submitted yesterday.
One horse was being tested for the first time, given a recent elevated temperature. The test was negative and the horse will be retested to confirm in a few days.
One horse was being tested for the second time, after receiving a negative test a few days ago. The test was positive and the horse will be moved to isolation.
One horse was a positive EHV-1 horse seeking its first negative test. The test was negative. In seven days, the horse will be retested for its second consecutive negative test.
We will have a town hall in VIP at 11 am tomorrow and the team from UC Davis will be available for questions. Thank you to everyone who has agreed to participate in the UC Davis study. The schedule for testing is posted on our website along with the ring schedule for tomorrow.
