Continuing the strong West Coast representation at the @capitalchallengehorseshow and taking home arguably one of the most notable WCHR awards of the week is Carleton Brooks! ⁣ ⁣ Carleton was presented with the Old Springhouse Perpetual Trophy Lifetime Achievement Award. This trophy, awarded by the WCHR Task Force, is given to the person who exemplifies great support and lifetime commitment to the sport. Congratulations, Carleton!!

As two of our DIHP veterinarians, Dr. Duncan Peters and Dr. Lori Bidwell work tirelessly for the well-being of all the horses competing here. So, it’s well deserved that they have now been recognized with the USHJA’s David Peterson Perpetual Trophy! 🏆 ⁣ ⁣ This trophy is presented by the WCHR Task Force to individuals who exemplify dedication and commitment to the care and well-being of horses. We all know how much Lisa Hankin does for the sport and for our Desert International Horse Park, so it is great to see her recognized on the national stage! On Wednesday evening at the @capitalchallengehorseshow, Lisa was named a 2024 recipient of the USHJA’s Winter’s Run Sportsmanship Award. 🏆The award is presented annually to an individual who exemplifies the ideals of sportsmanship, which Lisa certainly does! ⁣ ⁣ Congratulations to DIHP’s own Lisa Hankin! 👏🏼

Entries are also officially open for the National Sunshine Series on Showgrounds Live. We are just under two months away from welcoming back every horse, pony, dog, and person to our Horse Park! You may also now reserve your RV spot, your VIP table at the Palm Club, and join the waitlist for paddocks for these two weeks.
