This is your opportunity to claim official bragging rights as the #1 Barn at Desert Horse Park this season. To secure your barn's entry, please complete and submit the registration form below. Once you've completed the registration, you'll receive a confirmation email for your records.

Entry fees collected will be donated to Giant Steps Therapeutic Horse Center, a Petaluma charity dedicated to enriching lives through the power of horses, team, and community. Through their equine-assisted programs, people of all ages, means, and challenges experience the extraordinary benefits of therapeutic riding and activities; we are proud to support this tremendous charity again in 2025. If you'd like to make a larger donation, there is an option below to increase your donation fee in $5 increments.

Entries are due by end of day on 3/6 and judging will take place on 3/7 from 3 - 4 pm, with the award to be presented at the Grand Prix on the Grass Field, Saturday March 8th.

The Silver Mountain String Band is the quintessential Folk, Bluegrass, and Old-Time band in Los Angeles! Their ability to rock American Roots music is what sets them apart from traditional string bands and voted one of the top Bluegrass bands in Los Angeles. They have been performing together at festivals, parties, receptions and Bluegrass brunches for more than 10 years. Primary influences include the musical styles of Bill Monroe, John Hartford, and the music of Appalachian traditions mixed with popular music and jazz elements. This fiddle band will liven up your event with Country, Western, Folk and Bluegrass favorites. Their music will have your guest’s toes tapping and hitting the floor.

Lead singer Simon Petty cut his musical teeth in the Irish pubs of London, England, combining traditional Celtic folk songs with more contemporary artists such as The Pogues, Van Morrison and The Waterboys. Relocating to Southern California, he then led the fiddle band Ruled by Venus for many years. Nate LaPointe is a quicksilver virtuoso lead guitarist, ably accompanied by violinist Bob Fergo, a veteran of Celtic roots and soul.

How high can your dog jump? Can he or she stack up with the best Thermal has to offer? Come find out when we hold the annual DIHP Dog Puissance Challenge! Have some fun, win great prizes, and benefit a good cause by putting your dog’s jumping skills to the test in a friendly competition. Dogs will compete in a set order for the duration of the event in their respective divisions. The competition will start with a low jump, and each dog will attempt to jump it. A dog will be excused if it knocks the rail down, refuses the jump, or its handler elects not to continue. After the last dog in the order clears the jump, it will be raised, and the next round will begin. The dog clearing the jump at the highest height wins. Ribbons awarded 1st-10th in each division.
