Join us for a Pilates in the Roadrunners Plaza class hosted by Melina Nasab Keefe during DC 7, 8, and 10 Sponsored by Core Specialty! Melina is an equestrian athlete, Pilates instructor and fitness trainer with over 10 years of experience helping people from all walks of life get stronger, feel more confident, and connect deeper with their bodies. She believes that a strong core is the foundation for a strong body, all whilst being less prone to injury — the CORE really is the SOLUTION!! In this class, Melina focuses on the smaller, often-overlooked muscles that support the larger ones, especially tailored to equestrian athletes! For riders, these muscles are key for balance, stability and fluid movement in the saddle. Strengthening them not only builds physical power but also boosts focus, physical awareness and mental resilience…which are very important things for riders to have while controlling these 1200lbs animals! Get ready to move, groove, and slay the day with Melina in this 45-minute full-body mat Pilates class! Using your own body weight and resistance bands, we’ll work our abs, buns and guns, while having all the funs 😉 This class is perfect for all levels — no prior Pilates experience required! Fitness lovers, don’t worry: every move has progressions to challenge you, plus modifications so everyone can join in. You’ll leave feeling strong, centered and energized — just enough to conquer your next ride without sore lower legs getting in the way. Expect dynamic stretches, intentional mind-body resets and a playful, core-focused that’s as fun as it is effective. After all, the CORE really is the SOLUTION!
