Walkenbach navigated Walkenbach Equestrian LLC’s Radcliffe through two additional rounds in the Finals Sunday morning after placing first on Saturday in the first round. “I thought the courses were very challenging, there were very good riders and I had a Children’s Hunter horse two years ago, so he really taught me how to stick it out and grit,” shared Walkenbach. “I really took that with me and just had to stick it out today especially.”

Going in the third and final round, Walkenbach remained in her top position: “I knew it was going to be challenging, and probably pretty sandy in my face,” Walkenbach laughed. “I just knew if I had a solid, consistent round that I could maybe win. So I just tried my best.”

“This is my last show for the season, but we are going to be back here [at Desert International Horse Park] for the start of the new year,” noted Walkenbach.
