Location: On-site at Desert International Horse Park (Thermal, CA) during event season; may require travel to Las Vegas, Nevada, for approximately one week per year

Position Overview: Reporting directly to the Sponsorship & Vendor Manager, the Sponsorship Coordinator is an on-site position supporting the Desert Horse Park team with all aspects of sponsorships and vendors, from drafting agreements to activations and postseason sponsorship reports.
The Sponsorship Coordinator position requires an individual with strong organization, communication, and coordination skills. The incumbent will be a proven team player who is both professional and personable, interacting with people of varying ages and backgrounds. The Sponsorship Coordinator will work on DIHP events including, but not limited to: National Sunshine Series (October/November), USHJA National Championships (Las Vegas – November), Desert Dressage (November and December), Desert Holiday (December), Desert Circuit & Desert Spring Break (January – March).
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain databases related to sponsors and vendors, including up-to-date contact information, accounts payable, deliverables, etc.
- Assist in drafting and organizing sponsor and vendor agreements
- Solicit, manage and organize sponsor and vendor media assets (logos, print ads, videos/commercials, etc.)
- Work closely with the Marketing & Communications team to develop and implement a sponsorship deliverables calendar including social/digital media, email blasts, etc.
- Work closely with the Events teams on sponsor and vendor activations and/or special events
- Coordinate vendor move-in/move-out logistics
- Provide onsite support for vendor move-in/move-out logistics
- Manage procurement and distribution of sponsor-provided gifts/awards
- Communicate special event and award presentation/photography schedules to sponsors
- Oversee sponsor event signage ordering and installation
- Oversee sponsored spaces around the Park to ensure are clean, branded correctly and professionally presented
Education & Experience:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including media, events, facilities, hospitality and leadership
- Experience in and/or knowledge of the equestrian industry is required
- Previous horse show management, sponsorship coordination and/or partnership management experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and Dropbox
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work a non-traditional work week, including evenings and weekends, throughout the competition season
- Prolonged periods working on a computer/seated at a desk
- Ability to safely lift and move a minimum of 25 pounds, as needed
