LAS VEGAS – April 30, 2025 – What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, and so, the Desert International Horse Show management team is thrilled that the Marshall + Sterling Insurance/USHJA National Championships will stay in their rightful home, Las Vegas, for the seventh annual edition. DIHP is proud to again be a part of the year-end event, to be held this year on November 10-16, at the South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa.

Following a successful 2024 show, DIHP will for the second time manage the premier championship that brings together top hunter, jumper and equitation riders from across the country.

In addition to a full slate of age-group equitation classes, hunter divisions – ranging from ponies to professionals – and jumper sections, offered from 1.00-1.40m, the 2025 National Championships will also offer the following featured events:

  • $50,000 American Standard Grand Prix
  • $25,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby – Open
  • $25,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby – Junior/Amateur
  • CPHA Foundation WCE Medal Final
  • IHSA/USHJA 3’3” Hunter Seat Medal Final – West

The championships will additionally again feature special sections for nominated members of USHJA Affiliate Organizations and Outreach Golden Backstage Pass recipients. A range of divisions will offer competition in hunters and equitation from 2′ to 2’6″ and jumpers from 0.70-1.00m.

Applications for the 2025 Marshall + Sterling Insurance/USHJA National Championships will open in June, and riders are encouraged to review the qualifying pathways and information available here.

Qualifying requirements vary based on the section and are largely based on Zone Horse of the Year points or Zone events held between December 1, 2024, and August 29, 2025. Affiliate competitors are nominated by their respective USHJA Affiliate Organizations, with each organization allowed to nominate up to three horse-and-rider combinations per section. Affiliate nominations must be submitted by August 1, 2025, after which nominees will be notified of their acceptance and invited to apply.

Held entirely at the South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa, the USHJA National Championship offers a seamless experience for horses and riders alike. Thanks to the spacious amenities of the South Point – including a spa, 64 bowling lanes, 16 movie theaters, 11 dining establishments and the property’s expansive casino – horses and riders are all able to be housed under one roof providing a one-of-a-kind horse show experience.
