DIHP is pleased to announce an outstanding lineup of new and returning sponsors for Desert Holiday 2023. Spanning two weeks and hosting CSI5* and CSI2* show jumping competition – as well as the finale of Major League Show Jumping and both National and International USHJA Hunter Derbies – Desert Holiday is a highlight of the show season for riders from across the United States, Canada, and internationally. And with more than $2.5 million in prize money, Desert Holiday 2023 will be one of the richest weeks in U.S. show jumping competition history.

The team at Brown Advisory has been integral to the growth of Desert Holiday in 2023, and have been named Presenting Sponsor of Desert Holiday 1 (November 29 – December 3) for 2023. Representatives from Brown Advisory – a company with longstanding ties to supporting equestrian sport in the United States and abroad – will be in attendance Saturday, December 2, to celebrate the inaugural winner of the $1,000,000 CSI5* Coachella Cup Grand Prix.

DIHP is thrilled to welcome the City of La Quinta as a first-time sponsor in 2023, and the Host Sponsor of Desert Holiday 1. Located just minutes from the Horse Park, the City of La Quinta serves as home to many DIHP staff, officials, riders and guests over the show season, boasting a wealth of first-class accommodations, dining, shopping and recreation including spectacular golf. The La Quinta Farmers Market, which runs Sundays from October through May in the heart of Old Town La Quinta, is not to be missed!

Desert Holiday 2 brings another new sponsor to the Horse Park: Visit Greater Palm Springs (VGPS). As Presenting Sponsor for Week 2, representatives of Visit Greater Palm Springs will join the winning team from the 2023 Major League Show Jumping (MLSJ) season in the center of the Grand Prix Arena on Saturday, December 9, for a ceremony in which more than $1,000,000 in prize money will be awarded. DIHP is excited to partner with VGPS to collaboratively promote all the amazing events, sights, and activities that the Coachella Valley and its partnering businesses have to offer.

“Acquiring sponsorships like these is key to unifying the park with the surrounding area,” said Steve Hankin, President and CEO of DIHP. “With their partnerships, we can show the Coachella Valley how special equestrian sport is and help support the local communities in their endeavors as well. We can’t wait to invite the entire Coachella Valley to watch our $1,000,000 CSI5* Coachella Cup Grand Prix, the first event of its kind at DIHP.”

Along with CSI5*, CSI2*, and National show jumping, Desert Holiday will feature two weeks of Premier hunters, with highlights including the $25,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby on the grass (week 1), $5,000 USHJA Pony Hunter Derby (week 1), the $20,000 Young Hunter Championship (week 1), National Hunter Derbies (both weeks), and WCHR competition (week 2).
