Desert International Horse Park Announces Schedule Changes for Upcoming FEI Competition

Thermal, Calif. – Oct. 22, 2021 – Desert International Horse Park (DIHP) has made several changes to the FEI schedule for the upcoming 2021 National Sunshine Series and Desert Holiday circuits. The most up-to-date schedule for the National Sunshine Series can be found here and the Desert Holiday schedule can be found here. The official Definitive Schedules will be posted to the website once they are reviewed and approved by USEF. 

National Sunshine Series 

The FEI CSI 3* will be held in the Grand Prix Arena instead of the Grass Field. The scheduled classes have not changed.

FEI Competition Schedule for National Sunshine Series CSI 3* (Grand Prix Arena):

  • Thursday, Nov. 4, at 2:00 p.m.: (3001) $9,100 FEI CSI 3* 1.40m 
  • Friday, Nov. 5, at 2:00 p.m.: (3002) $36,600 FEI CSI 3* 1.50m
  • Saturday, Nov. 6, at 2:00 p.m.: (3003) $36,600 FEI CSI 3* 1.45 m
  • Sunday, Nov. 7, at 2:00 p.m.: (3004) $101,000 FEI CSI 3* 1.55m Grand Prix

Desert Holiday Week I

The FEI CSI 5* and FEI CSI 2* will now take place on the Grass Field instead of the Grand Prix Arena. The scheduled classes have changed and include:

  • Friday, Dec. 3, at 8:30 a.m.: (5001) $1,000 Two Phase Special CSI 5* 1.40m
  • Friday, Dec. 3, at 1:30 p.m.: (5002) $72,900 Welcome Jump-Off CSI 5* 1.50m
  • Saturday, Dec. 4, at 8:30 a.m.: (5003) $36,600 Speed CSI 5* 1.45m
  • Saturday, Dec. 4, at 1:30 p.m.: (5004) $200,000 MLSJ Team Competition CSI 5* 1.45-1.50m
