Desert International Horse Park (DIHP) is pleased to announce the renewed and expanded partnership with returning sponsor Brown Advisory for the first week of the Desert Holiday Series, kicking off November 28, 2023. Brown Advisory will present the inaugural $1 Million CSI5* Coachella Cup Grand Prix on December 2, the first and only million-dollar FEI grand prix in the United States.

Brown Advisory is a significant supporter of equestrian sport and it is an honor for DIHP to have their support for the launch of the $1 Million CSI5* Coachella Cup Grand Prix. Brown Advisory was also instrumental supporting the launch of the Maryland 5 Star at Fair Hill, a very successful new eventing championship.

The Coachella Cup is a new concept developed by DIHP as part of their involvement in Major League Show Jumping (MLSJ). In its third year with the League, DIHP will again be the host of the MLSJ finals and is focused on making the beginning of December a global equestrian event for the world’s premier riders. The presentation will feature a custom crystal perpetual trophy made by Waterford.

“We are extremely proud to have Brown Advisory sponsor such an exciting week of sport at our venue,” remarked Steve Hankin, President and CEO of DIHP. “Their commitment to improving the sport is greatly appreciated and thanks to their support we are achieving what we set out to do, which is raise the level of sport in California.”

Desert Holiday 1 kicks off Wednesday, November 28, and the feature event, the Coachella Cup, will take place Saturday, December 2, under the lights of the Grand Prix Arena. The entire week will host both CSI5* and CSI2* show jumping competition, as well as the ninth MLSJTeam Competition. In addition, there will be both National and International USHJA Hunter Derbies for hunter athletes. And with more than $1.5 million in prize money, the 2023 edition of Desert Holiday 1 will be one of the richest weeks in U.S. show jumping competition history.
